What’s Your Pace (AKA-Target Pace Run)

I’ve got a ‘special’ edition of speedwork lined up. It’s a ‘target pace run’!

Whether you’re participating in a race this season or not, it’s likely there’s a ‘number’ bouncing around in your head when you ‘think’ about running a 5K, 10K, Half, or Marathon. Maybe that number is 8:00/mile. Maybe it’s 9:30/mile.

Whatever number that’s taking up space in your head is, there’s only one way to find out if you can just do it. And, that’s to actually JUST DO IT 🙂

The idea of the target pace run is simple. Just try to run your ‘target pace’ (aka-that number bouncing around in your head) for two miles and get a feel for it. Does it feel easy? Does it feel hard? Does it feel like you can maintain this pace for ‘x’ number of miles?

This workout will answer most (if not ‘all’) of these questions.
